Osho was amazing

FROM: www.deeshan.com

The root problem of all problems is mind itself.
The first thing to be understood is what this mind is,
of what stuff it is made;
whether it is an entity or just a process;
whether it is substantial, or just dreamlike.
And unless you know the nature of the mind,
you will not be able to solve any problems of your life.

You don’t let them tell you who you are

(To a good friend)

You don’t let them tell you who you are, not even for a minute, not even for a second.

They will doubt and shame you just because they need something to do and must act upon an ancient jealousy that compels them to disparage or chink away at your armor. You must prepare for that moment where you stand up to these shamers, these guilters and their death-rays that burn full blast trying to melt you into a mold that they created from something they heard somewhere from some broken adult, like one in a church or a parent.

These are the ones that heap doubt, these are the ones that have shame and guilt for essentially ‘who they are’ and you are walking away from that lie and walking to where less guilt is stored and shame is abandoned and the ‘who we are’ is celebrated and the brilliant genius child inside is given a voice - this is a place of less mental baggage, less bitter thought and more embracing of true Universal Spirit.

But it is these specific moments where doubt is thrown your way, times in your life where you have to choose whether you will stand in the death-ray or run for cover because standing in that burning light is scary and hard and goes against all of our human instincts. Running for cover is a split-second reaction, very hard to control and direct and difficult to avoid in the heat of the moment.

But it can be done and I’ve watched you do it this far and I guess this post is to let you know that I can “see you” and “hear you” escaping from your past. I can see the progress your making and I celebrate the expansion that is your mind and spirit. And I say ‘keep up the good work’ and ‘don’t back down’ to exactly impress on you my happiness in the progress of ‘who you are’ because there aren’t many out there. We need more people that know who they are, are proud of who that is and stand in the bright shining light speaking their minds, telling their stories of who we really are as human beings.

I’m very excited to know you and see you on this path of transformation.

Your Friend,

Drew

White House correspondent Helen Thomas and her flowers

Last week a story hit REDDIT about Helen Thomas, one of the only White House correspondents that asks hard questions of this administration, had a telling quote in the daily briefing with White House Spokeswoman Dana Perino:

HELEN THOMAS: The President has said publicly several times, in two consecutive news conferences a few months ago, and you have said over and over again, we do not torture. Now he has admitted that he did sign off on torture, he did know about it. So how do you reconcile this credibility gap?

MS. PERINO: Helen, you’re taking liberties with the what the President said. The United States has not, is not torturing any detainees in the global war on terror. And General Hayden, amongst others, have spoken on Capitol Hill fully in this regard, and it is — I’ll leave it where it is. The President is accurate in saying what he said.

Q That’s not my question. My question is, why did he state publicly, we do not torture –

MS. PERINO: Because we do not.

Q — when he really did know that we do?

MS. PERINO: No, that’s what I mean, Helen. We’ve talked about the legal authorities –

Q Are you saying that we did not?

MS. PERINO: I am saying we did not, yes.

Q How can you when you have photographs and everything else? I mean, how can you say that when he admits that he knew about it?

MS. PERINO: Helen, I think that you’re — again, I think you’re conflating some issues and you’re misconstruing what the President said.

Q I’m asking for the credibility of this country, not just this administration.

MS. PERINO: And what I’m telling you is we have — torture has not occurred. And you can go back through all the public record. Just make sure — I would just respectfully ask you not to misconstrue what the President said.

Q You’re denying, in this room, that we torture and we have tortured?

MS. PERINO: Yes, I am denying that.
Elaine, did you have one?

HELEN THOMAS (looking around the room at the other reporters) Where is everybody?

In the Video of it you don’t hear that last part but the transcript above says it all.

HELEN THOMAS: Where is everybody?

Well, the users over at REDDIT got together to get her some flowers to applaud her disgust with her fellow journalists. But not just ’some’ flowers…(from Reddit user MicahFitch):

monday :)

the flower shop woman is very excited. she apparently majored in political science/history and goes to the same bar as Helen Thomas (and has spoken with her before/is a big fan!). as I am very overwhelmed, I told her to use her creative flowershop liberties, and she promised that we would get more than we bargained for!

there will be trickling deliveries to both her house and her office. at the house some plants will be delivered as well (on the suggestion of the flower shop lady) because they will last a long time! a single fruit basket/flower arrangement will be sent to the office and a corsage as well.

this order is to be $3000, leaving between $400 and $600 for either more flowers, some rolling fruit deliveries, or a weekly corsage (which I like best).

the reason this does not total to $4000 is that paypal charges about 10% in fees/donation. I plan on releasing a full record of the assets when this is over!

all in all I’m quite excited!

Not just some flowers…but a lot of fucking flowers, a symbol of the lavish passion we have that this administration, this corrupt government system and the complicit corporate media be HELD ACCOUNTABLE!

Helen Thomas is a hero to folks that have woke up and realize that out government, the press and the elites really are complicit in their corruption.

Thank you Helen Thomas. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you…

I’m sorry :(

My country is the bad guy. All my life i was fed the horseshit that we were the good guys and then the “internet” happens and I realize how dumb/misled I was.

I want to formerly apologize to the world. I’m sorry it took so long for me to wake up. I promise with every breath I take for the rest of my life I will oppose this corruption, this cheating, this monster of the more and their more.

Language and manifestation

You may be your own worst enemy when it comes to getting what you want from the Universe, the cosmic system and/or your God. First of all, at some point you’re gonna need to at least admonish the idea that you are an ‘active participant’ in the creation of your life and what makes up that life. We have come too far, post-20th Century, to not realize that we at least have a pretty large effect on what happens to us and what ultimately ‘comes our way’ be it conscious or unconsciously attributed.

So understanding that you have a ‘hand’ in your own creation it seems logical to say that the language you create with, this hand, lies in your language. And when I say ‘language’ I am talking about your thoughts, your word and your creative intention as formed through the language of thought and speech, especially when we share those thoughts to person or paper or data.

We, it is becoming more and more likely are, active participants in our own creation through the use of words and language.

Supposing this idea sound, we are then creating with the use of language in the form of thoughts, ideas, directions and purpose. Our intentions, simply put, become reality when we set forth the idea, execute the thoughts and monitor a consistency in these thoughts through time. It is language that parses the details, collects the materials, executes the mechanism and it is word that starts the domino effect, the butterfly effect.

Great, I will use language to get what I want

With this idea of language being key, the most important lesson I would be aware of is the ‘language’ you use when praying or asking for or getting what you want. In most cases when we speak about what we want we say, ‘I hope it happens’ or ‘I really want this to happen’ and ‘if I am lucky then’ - all of those make a mechanical mistake in their tense that they use passive, non-definite words, the ‘hope’, the ‘want’ and the ‘luck’ all communicate a sense of doubt in the outcome of the desired result.

This sense of doubt being introduced through the essential mechanism of creation, language, gives exactly what the word asks for: ‘I hope’ gives you hope but doesn’t give you the thing you want, just hope; ‘I want’ is a state of being that communicates a lack, a ‘not having’ to the creative power and thus, the creative power gives ‘want’ or a lack of; and ‘luck’ is telling the creative power of the Universe that you do not control the thing you want and aren’t sure if you can have it.

So what is the alternative?

The present tense of ‘I have’ is what you use. If you want a house then, ‘I have the perfect house’ would be your mantra and your belief. Intention is in the belief, the mechanism runs because you make it run and things happen AS you say, your language.

  • I have abundance and believe in my own connection to the Universal flow
  • I bring the perfect ‘thing’ to me, naturally
  • I am the source and substance of my supply
  • I have clarity of thought and make good decisions
  • I am perfect health

It’s all in the tense and intention. When asking and praying for what you want, remember that you are praying not only to some creator but also to yourself. You are the creator and you are responsible. Be precise with your language and less gets lost in the shuffle in the communication between Universe and the creator - you.

You can’t stay inside

He’s at it again, that town-crier of emotions
too important to leave to word-of-mouth,
bellowing needlessly about monsters and dragons
when I all I want is to sleep.

My drowsy style pounding its fist on the table
trying to mean more to the world. “Wake up wake
up little boy with big hands and big feet,
you got more yelling to do you dry drunk

you bread worshiper, wake up and tell the world
the invisible demons really do exist. You trust
just about everyone and tell them all your soul -
you dry drunk, you swear-mouth, you single-tailed
small mouthed shrimp.”

He’s at it again, mother of all
hangovers, tapping on my eyebrow with a bull whip.
He wants me awake and wants me to take to the streets
on a whim. His days of watching the truth-like

cuckoo’s nest are over. I am his monkey, I must
perform.

What’s to blame for Love

I’m afraid that I am unaware of this pair-bonding thing you people have here; so foriegn, so absolutely awkward and distant…

A heavy feeling, a body-wide feeling, a feeling of euphoria, elation, excitement, delirium, terror, lightness, lateness and foreboding - I tell myself that these feelings mean nothing, I tell myself these aspects are fleeting. This is what I use as an excuse to further my political aims to ultimately keep myself alone and I’m dumb to the point of blindness because I’m the one driving these emotions. I have nobody else to blame.

I see this ‘love’ on TV or in the movies and sometimes it is done so well and I am there, watching it unfold, not in my mind - filled with empathy not sympathy…

There is nobody else but me pushing the blood through my veins, the fire between neurons and making all things work the way they work and as they’ve worked since I was about ten. If you want to blame someone then blame me because I am the bus driver, the crane operator and the u-boat commander of this wreck of love.

Because you want to stick up for me, because you want to have my back, because you like my smell, because you always do what’s right, because you see me in soft light, because you like my quick, because you feel my strength, because you know my little boy…

I want this all to go away because I don’t know happiness and it feels funny and kinda disorienting. I realize now that emotions I had I never felt, I just had them and now that I am truly starting to feel them without racing off out of my body, they are weird and terrifying. And I am afraid that love will be a foreign feeling and take on a mind of its own and then I will be at the mercy of something I cannot control.

NO! I am the driver driving these feelings, these emotions. I cannot, in good consciousness, blame someone else for what I feel.

My life is a movie that I watch in the background, barely listening to the plot devices and the the plot holes uncovered - I do this while I am doing other things like chores and research.

Wait, what were we talking about?

Meditation tip of the day

From the awesome people at: www.deeshan.com

The whole foundation of meditation is to make you so alert
that you can see the forming of seeds and desires and drop them.

Osho

“and drop them.”

To let all attachments drop away, all expectations be removed and the truth of being be understood as just that…being.

From the “Wake up Sheeple” Dept.: Oil subsidies

Did you know that despite the fact that gas prices have skyrocketed over 250% in the last 5 years, we still SUBSIDIZE oil companies to the tune of $18 billion dollars a year to keep gas prices down.

Let me rephrase this for you: despite making profits of over $123 billion dollars in 2007 we continue to give the oil industry $18 billion dollars a year to help keep gas prices down.

Rep. Ed Markey, D-Mass., chairman of the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming, pushed back, criticizing the oil industry for charging consumers too much while investing too little in alternative energy sources.

Noting that the five biggest U.S. oil companies’ profits rose to $123 billion last year, Markey demanded, “What is the oil industry doing with all this profit?”

He said investments should be rising for technologies that would reduce U.S. dependency on oil, but “unfortunately, it goes as much to financial engineering as renewable engineering.”

Then one of the oil barons at the hearing responded:

“I heard what you are hearing. Americans are very worried about the rising price of energy,” said John Hofmeister, president of Royal Dutch Shell.

“our earnings, though high in absolute terms, need to be viewed in the context of the scale and cyclical, long-term nature of our industry as well as the huge investment requirements.”

Right. We should worry about your long-term profits…

And in the last 2 years since Democrats took over minor control of congress, they have passed legislation that would kill these subsidies only to have Republicans block them from becoming laws.

So basically oil companies, through their Republican proxies, are holding America for ransom by saying that if not given the $18 billion in subsidies, that prices will rise uncontrollably in the market.

The price of gas has risen over 250% in 5 years. Maybe we should just stop subsidizing this travesty and let them do what they want with the prices. Seems like it couldn’t be any worse.
